Tucked away in a quiet residential street is a gem, Sonny Stores! I went on a weekday afternoon so was able to snap a table straightaway! The lovely lady who served me introduced me to the food and told me about their lunch set menu which I opted! To start, I had the confit trout with fondanello tomatoes - trout was well cooked! Then I had the pappardelle with beef peposo parmesan. Beef peposo, slow-cooked, hearty and had depths of flavour was so good! On the Italian theme, ended a delish meal with tiramisu for dessert - coffee flavour was super pronounced and very creamy. A delish three course lunch for 25, incredible! Shoutout to the loveliest lady who served me. Her service was v attentive and took the time to go through the menu with me. Even gave me samples of the wine when I was on the fence and explained the difference between oaked and unoaked wine. Ended up with fiano- was light, citrusy and v palatable. A lovely meal :)

One word for you: BRUNCH! We went a couple of weeks ago, or whenever they started to serve brunch. And what a great idea that was! We ordered pretty much everything on the menu. Everything was so, so tasty, all washed down with a good French press cafetiere. The menu is small, but OMG, it is so well done and good. Every single dish was memorable. From the simple but not too sweet cinnamon roll served with butter and caramel sauce, to the Billingsgate bun, Are you ready?: Scallops, black pudding, bacon, egg, and plenty of magic and love . It is so hard to find a good spot for quality brunch, whether in Bristol, London, or any city. It is normally overrated, overpriced, and the same menu everywhere. But at Sonny’s Stores, that is not the case. You see their Italian and Mediterranean influence, but you also see quality and passion for great food and good quality products. Anyway, go and try it soon. You are welcome! P.s. they have a beautiful private room upstairs where they can fit around 14 people for a nice private celebration (if you have that many Friends)

That was an amazing experience ! My partner and i had the best lunch in the long time. We had some antipasti for starters. They were simply astonishing and delicious . As a main we have an Onglet and John Dory fish ...and it's hard to explain in words. You just need to go there and try it yourself !!! And the deserts ...meringue and tiramisu were fantastic. Service was very good and helpful. Smiles all over the place . We will be coming back 100%. Thank you for your hospitality !

This place has been on our list to visit for ages now and last Friday in a late Birthday celebration we went for lunch. On a miserable rainy day we spent a few hours here enjoying fabulous food. Sonny Stores is a really laid back place with friendly staff and amazingly delicious food cooked with love. To have a taste of the variation of food at Sonny's the server advised the two of us should share a dish from each course. Turns out that was excellent advice and we'd recommend that plan to people eating here. We had the Pumpkin Fritto to start, pasta course we had Pansotti and main we went for Cull Yaw Shoulder finished off with a coffee and Tiramisu. The Fritto was awesome, the pasta was perfect and some Focaccia bread mopped up the juices & oil. The Cull Yaw with carrots and drunken poatoes was so tender and tasty, a proper plateful too. Coffee and Tiramisu conpleted our meal. To accompany the meal we shared a bottle of red wine and the total bill was a reasonable 100. Overall we'd give Sonny Stores an easy 5 stars. Not sure why it took us so long to visit but we won't wait so long to go back. Thanks folks for such a yummy enjoyable lunch.

We had a wonderful time on Friday night taking my Mum for her Birthday! Having been multiple times we are never disappointed. The food is always beautiful and the ever-changing seasonal and local menu keeps it exciting and fresh each time we go (though I'm always pleased there is a variation of the pizzetta kept on the menu as it's a firm fave!) I love the small, relaxed and friendly vibe Sonny Stores has to offer, it's not pretentious - it knows what good food is and keeps this front and centre. The menu was lovingly explained to us by extremely friendly and helpful staff, with recommendations, drink pairings and even a step by step recipe of one of the dishes we chose after from the Chef! I will always choose to come back time and time again whether for celebrations or the excellent lunch time deal during the week for a leisurely treat with friends! Top Bristol spot :)

We love Sonny Stores and were so happy that they were able to cater our wedding! Jenna was brilliant in the lead-up—so helpful, great at keeping in touch, and made organising everything so easy. On the day, Pegs cooked an amazing 4-course dinner and canapes that everyone loved, and the staff were absolutely wonderful—so friendly and attentive. Sonny Stores were also fantastic at helping with the wine, having us taste several wines to make sure we found something that went well with our main course. Highly recommend for your special occasions!
